pH marker for 2D electrophoresis

Post by samkh918 » Mon Nov 09, 2009 7:42 pm

Hello,

I use 7cm, pH4-7 IPG strips in my 2D electrophoresis experiments. After the second dimension run and staining the gel with coomassie blue, I see the spots and I want to know at what pH some spots are located. I was wondering if there is a way or a pH marker that can be used to find out the exact vertical location of pH 5, pH 6, etc. on the gel.

Thanks for your help.
