Help With Identification Please?

Post by Boomting » Mon Oct 26, 2009 11:06 am

Hi I've identified most of the photos I have been given but theres still a few that I have been struggling to identify for about a week now.I've looked on the internet and through text books but have found nothing so any help is much appreciated as I only have 3 days left before I have to hand it in.

1. This image I just have to identify and all I know is it is a cell tissue

2. This is an image of an abnormal tissue in which I need to identify what looks abnormal about it and possibly what disease it has.

3.This I need to identify the organelle in the picture and explain it's function but once I know what the organelle is I'll be able to find the function :)

4. Lastly same as number 3 need to identify the organelle and explain its function.

All your help is much appreciated thank you. :)

3. and 4. look for structural proteins, unfortunatelly I don't have Voet at mine, so I can't check it, but it's some type of them, just don't wish to say some bullshit ;)
Notice these double circles oo, which are two subunits (of actin? :-/ ), attached together and these dimers are put together into simple circle in 3. and into circle with additional filamenta inside in 4.
I think 4. is flagelum, 3 is probably some filamenta.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
