General Evolution Question

Can someone please help me answer this?

You are a conservation biologist that works for the National Parks Service. You are in
charge of reintroducing populations of a native mouse (Mousus martinezii) to parts of its
native range where it has gone extinct. When introducing a new population you have the
choice of using individuals from one population or multiple populations. What are the
evolutionary consequences for each of these choices? Which would you employ and
why? One of your co-workers mentions that you need to keep suitable habitat corridors
open between the newly introduced populations to maintain gene flow. How would you
determine if this was necessary? Lastly, you are interested in maintaining a suitable
effective population size for your newly introduced populations. How would you go
about monitoring for changes in effective population size in your introduced populations?

1) definitively from multiple populations. In this way you gain heterogenity in gene composition, so even if the habitat changes, there is higher chance to survive of some of them. Also, in one population you can have some negative mutation, which can be responsible for some disease or something and if will you cumulate it, you will get mess (like Hasburgs in western Europe or those leading Russia before communists;)
2) imagine, that you will introduce some species to two islands, separated by lot of water, so there is only slight change to cross it. After lot of time, you will probably get different species (especially if conditions differ), like at Galapagos. And even, if on one island the population will extinct again, there is no chance, it will be re-colonised by the other group ;)
On the other hand, if will you introduce the new species to some habitats, which may be far away or discrete due to some obstacles, but which can be still passed, there will be some gene flow (as in 1) and also the population size will be more stabile ;)
