What is the organelle that uses energy from food to make high-energy compounds????

it isn't what you do that matters but it is how you do it

i do not think it is cytosol. it could be mitochondria to a certain extent
it isn't what you do that matters but it is how you do it

It would be mitochondria - mitochondria creates atp energy by a process called cellular respiration. This occurs in the inner folded membranes of the mitochondria. I believe your question was asking about glucose.
