dependent light reaction???

can anyone please explain what the light dependent reactions are in a simple and non-confusing way.please because i just dont get what it is and what the function of it is....

That are reaction dependent on light ;) It's quite hard to explain it simplier :-D

I guess, you are talking about photosynthesis, right? There it is definitelly the excitation of chlorophyll electrons, but also the reaction of Rubisco (it does not use light by itself, by the light is stricly required to run the reaction)
