Protein half-life

I'm trying to see the rate of degradation of a certain protein in 293 cells and i want to compare my results to known protein's half-life, for example actin or another abundant cellular protein.
Does anyone have information regarding the half-lives of a very slow degrading proteins?

What information you mean?

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

What's the protein?

The only problem I see is that you will be assaying the protein steady-state (synthesis-degradation). How do you plan to control for this? Most likely, if it is a well known protein, then you can do a literature search to find the half-life and a method for determining the half-life of the protein in your particular system relative to what someone else has already done.

Histone H2B has a reported half-life of 223 days. Also, a nuclear pore component called Nup107 is not degraded at all in postmitotic cells. Slowly degraded enough for you?
