Quantitative individual species count from mixed sample?

Post by KARistanmickey » Thu Oct 10, 2019 2:54 pm

Hello everyone,,

I am trying to figure out how to go about getting a colony count for 3 individual bacteria from 1 overall mixed sample.

The bacteria are B. coagulans, B. polymixa, and R. globerulus.

I am struggling trying to figure out a method to get a colony count for each that is representative of the parent sample concentration.

Also would these 3 species grow on R2A agar as part of an overall colony count?

Thanks!
