THe structure of DNA

Post by prokaryotics » Sat Sep 12, 2009 4:59 am

hey this was an exam prep question and i was actually quite unsure how to answer this
"How does the structure of DNA allow for different versions of the same gene"

so DNA is a polymer and can cary many bases hence specify for many amino acids?
and genes specify for amino acids
so since it can carry many nucleotides it can carry many genes?

your wording needs some adjusting. But since this is asking for how, and not why, your answer works, but definitely fix the words.
