Berkely, yes. Harvard is only known for it's law school though. The best medical schools would be the University of Virginia Medical School, the Medical College of Virginia, and Boston General Medical School.

Admissions to medical schools are more focused on what you do during your college career. Course grades and extracurricular activities are most heavily weighted. Don't forget the MCAT too!

Johns Hopkins and Washington University are both good if you are interested in research medicine...

These days, with the standardization of american schools, technically doesn't matter where you went as long as you have a degree.

Still, everyone still tries to get into the "best" place. I usually tell most people, don't pick the place that everyone says is the best. Pick the place that is best for you.

MCAT = medical college admissions test. It isn't so bad.

@Kyle, that was well stated advice--pick the place best for you...;)

Aww I cannot help, our education system here is somewhat different. But I can say that there are two important things you need to consider if you want to continue study after graduating from high school: interest and capability. Choose your field because you want to leran more and not because a prospect. You can create your bright future but everything that is forced will be no good in result. Ah, I sound like a grandma :?
