introductory text book recomendation

Post by mdill » Mon Jun 08, 2009 2:24 am

I have a daughter who has some health issues and is home schooled for many of her classes, anyway I have a Physics and engineering degree, my wife has a Chemistry degree, but neither of us has any back ground in Biology.
So I am looking for a good introductory text to get us and help my daughter get up to speed.

Thanks Mike D.

It depends on a few factors, how old is she? What country do you live in?(here in australia the introductory textbooks usually try to incorperate as much australian biology as they can, as would those of other countries i would expect).
A wise man once said to me:
"Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life."

Only the fittest chickens cross the road.
