DNA replication

Post by Mariem » Sun Apr 05, 2009 11:51 am

why thermosensitive bacteria (Ts) can not grow on a restrictive temperture and does in a permissive one?
is it because the restrictive temperture doesn't allow the replication od the DNA?

Please forgive my bad english  .
thank you

no, it's usually because there is a mutant protein that can only fold at the permissive temperature, not at the restrictive temperature.
