Cancer and Lactic Acid Relationship

Post by CellFreak » Tue Nov 25, 2008 3:10 am

My AP Biology teacher gave us this really hard question about cancer and lactic acid. I have to describe the relationship between lactic acid annd cancer. I have looked at a lot of sites and have found only alittle bit of information.

The only thing i have found is that cancer cells have no vascular system to get oxygen with so they have to go through fermintation and they produce four times the amount of lactic acid that a normal cell does.If you find anything else please let me know.Thanks.
