UVB Rays-Apple Decaying Rate.

Hi guys im new, I'm doing a science fair project and I was wondering if UVB rays would have any effect on the decaying rate of an apple.

I havent been able to find anything on google on it.

When I said "One way to find out" I was meaning the poster should do the experiment. I suspect the person just wanted the answer so he or she could skip the work. My suspicion was confirmed by the infantile tantrum displayed.

No........I was going to test the experiment, but the teacher told me I need information to back it up before I tested it.

definetly it will prevent the surface decay as most of the bacteria die whaen exposed to uv because u v damages DNA causing leathal mutation. BUt this may also affect the cell of apple exposed to UV B . i think u must go to take out the details on penitrance of UVB n u can also investigate the leathal dose of UV B rest if u hav access for to u v lamp u cantry in ur lab but be care ful if u r minor do it in the presence of ur teacher. n try think simple. good luck
