Prevention of apoptosis.

Post by Dec » Sun Nov 16, 2008 11:28 pm

Hi all,

For a project I'm currently working on I need to transfect a disease cell line with DNASE 1 to investigate its interaction. The problem is this molecule has a role in cell apoptosis. Is there a way I can transfect my cell lines without nuclear DNA destruction?

Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Put the gene under the control of an inducible promoter. That way your introduced DNAse can be selectively expressed.
