resting membrane potential graph

Post by biology_06er » Fri Sep 05, 2008 4:33 am

Hi there,

just wondering for my lab report if my graph is ok. i constructed a graph of potential mv on y-axis and then log potassium conc. on the x-axis. the thing is that in the text books ive looked at they hvnt logged the conc. of potassium so the graph looks slightly different to mine. my graph runs with the x-axis using -ve and +ve numbers hence my y-axis runs right down the middle of the x-axis...is this ok to hv on a report?..hope im making sense

cheers,

I think for the purpose of the graph, have it on a log log scale shows linearity. If this is what the book is doing I think you should do the same.
