Enzyme to dissolve latex

Post by chongkwisang » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:54 am

I am a ruuber tapper in Malaysia. I used to see a kind of snail like to suck the latex that oozes out from the rubber tree. May be this kind of snail can produce one type of enzyme that can dissolve the latex that taken by it. If this is the answer then we can ectract the ezyme produced by them and use in the palstic industry. This may be a great break through in the disposal of plastic materials produced.
