Orange SURE cells

Post by Gerhard13 » Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:57 pm

Hello everyone,

Recently we've been encountering an orange substance in our SURE cells when we do plasmid preps and try to transform DNA into the SURE cells. In the plasmid prep the orange substance appears in the pellet when you spin the flask worth of overnight growth. In the transformations our plates turn orange. Does anyone have any ideas what this may be and how to stop it?

Thanks in advance.
