How to select stably transfected phoenix cells

Post by sotadecopas » Tue Jul 01, 2008 12:12 pm

Hi there,

Let´s see if somebody can help me.
I am transfecting phoenix cells with a retroviral construct. I want to select the stably transfected Phoenix cells in order to produce hight titer supernatants, but the problem is that my retroviral construct do not carry puromycin resistance, only carries GFP so, how can I select for the stably transfected Phoenix cells?
Is the retroviral vector integrated into the phoenix cell genome or it replicates as an episome?

Thanks!!
