Pancreas Micrograph

Post by ay2k » Tue May 20, 2008 8:03 pm

If a low power light micrograph of pancreas is observed, how could it be described.

e.g. islets in centre, B cells stained more/less.....islets stained less....

Anyone? A link showing such a micrograph is also acceptable...

Do a Google Image search on islets of langerhans, you'll have lots of choices.

The islet has different structure from its surround (acinar structure). The color of the islet depends on the staining method applied to the preparation.

Here I have a microphotograph of pancreas. Can you find and observe the islet?
