Between monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which is better in terms of its effect on our health? Thanks in advance!

our body can readily insert double bonds between C9 and C10 of fatty acids, so eating monounsaturated fatty acids wouldn't do much good. However, polyunsaturated fatty acids are a whole different story: some are essential for humans and we cannot make them. The most common example is linoleic acid. There are basically two main groups of essential fatty acids: the omega-3 group and the omega-6 group(which linoleic acid belongs to). For more information, google it
