Double male or female sex symbols

Post by donito » Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:53 pm

I've read in a few places here recently concerning crosses involving Drosophila and in some places double male or double female sex symbols are used. That is, two male symbols side by side, for example. Can anyone tell me what this means?

I got an answer from another mailing list that I subscribe to so I'll post the answer here.

Apparently one sex symbol means just one fly, two sex symbols means two or more flies.
