why nucleated cells prevent the complement mediated lysis?

Post by vaibhavsmarty » Sat Feb 16, 2008 5:08 am

Nucleated cells tend to be more resistant to complement mediated lysis than RBC.Why????????
some assumptions i have are that the membrane attack complex gets inactivated hence cannot get inserted into nucleated cell membrane
or MAC cannot get inserted in the nucleated membrane.
