magnification electron microscope

Post by zerofantasy » Mon Oct 22, 2007 3:24 am

Hi! I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

What is the magnification of an electron microscope?
Of scanning? Or transmission?

Thanks :)

According to wikipedia, the magnifying power of a TEM is about 50 million times.

At these magnifications however, I think the more important information to know about electron microscopes is resolution... you can read more about the resolution of EMs here: ... .1715#1749
