reference strain of bacteria
is there anyone who can provide me information as to where do i get a reference strain of bacteria from? i have spent 3 days searching for an outlet but

You can't (I think) get them for free at the ATCC, but for academia the fee is nominal--it used to be around 200 USD per strain, but I don't know what it is now. I don't think H. pylori is considered to be extremely infectious. If it is, you will have to produce evidence that your intended use is legitimate, and that you have access to the proper facilities to safely handle the strain.
If money is an object, you can always do a literature seach (Pub Med or something similar--Google will most likely just connect you to abstracts on Pub Med anyway, so why waste your time googling) and try to contact one of the senior authors of some of your favorite references, begging them to send you a stab or plate or small bit of glycerol stock. Be prepared to be humble and to be able to explain what you intend to do with the strain.
