mitochondrial loading control

Post by chaps » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:52 am

Hello!
I have mitochondrial fractions of mouse brown adipose tissue and I'm searching after a mitochondrial loading control protein in order to normalize UCP1 protein on western blot. I have already tried with cytochrome c oxydase (COX IV) but the quantities between my fractions are too different so that I can't use COX as a normalizer.
Perhaps I will try with porin (mitochondrial channel) but I have any idea if the expression of this protein changes in the same manner as COX (as both are mitochondrial).

Do you have any advise?
Thank
