Please Help Hydrophilic Molecules

This may be the wrong place to ask this but I don't know anything about bio.


I need help on this ques:

Water is an excellent solvent for molecules that have electric charges. Two categories of such hydrophilic (water-loving) molecules are _______ and _________.

What are molecules or atoms with a charge called?

I'd guess the answers are "cations" and "anions". Cations have a positive charge, anions a negative charge.

cation and anions are the answers to the blanks.
anions are negatively charged ions
cations are positively charged ions.
