i'm doing an experiment using the benedicts test and 4.0 mgcm3 ascorbic acid,a brown green colour was obtained can someone please tell why that colour was obtained,thank you

Based on what wiki says:
"the solution should progress in the colors of blue (with no glucose present), green, yellow, orange, red, and then brick red or brown (with high glucose present)."
you have just a little reducing agents in that. But I have never done that, so I don't know, how should it look...

In your hypothesis, you pick which among the 5 fruits you have must be high in vitamin C. But you know, you can already google it. Somehow you will be just doing a formality when you conduct your testing. Refine your methods according to its availability in your place so it will be easier for you to determine which method you would use.
