Bioedit Sequence Assembly

Post by jamiejlg » Wed Jul 11, 2007 4:15 pm

Hi everyone,
I am trying to analyze some sequence data using Bioedit, but the sequences do not fit together. It's only a simple alignment- a forward and reverse and the respective primers. It should go together easy.

Does anyone know if Bioedit (Clustal, really) automatically reverse complements?

I think that you have to turn it around yourself, using ctr-shift-R first, before you align them
