Hi everybody how is Luciferin formed in animals? What is the protein involved called?

Oops, Sorry! :oops: I misunderstood your question.

After discovering my mistake, I searched internet but couldn't find the formation of Luciferin.... :oops:

Only things I could find was how luciferin reacts to glimmer.

LH₂ + ATP → L*H₂ + AMP + PPi
L*H2 + O2 → 2L + 2H2O + light

This reaction occurs when there is luciferase, which is an enzyme.
