Horizontal gene transfer of agrobacterium tumefacian/e. coli

I really have no supporting evidence, but, is this possible?
Can such a splice be made, between agrobacterium, and e. coli?
Could such a product cross biological boundaries?
Could other genetic markers, like lsd, for example be affixed?
Is there an easy way to comprehensively understand the processes involved, if such actions as above were possible?
