The genotype of a woman is AO, and the genotype of the son is BO.
So the genotype of the fater must be BO

Post by deniqua » Thu May 24, 2007 2:10 pm

Hi thanks for your response

To my understanding A B AB O are the blood groups so that being so how can someone have bo

Recessive homozygotes ii have type o blood because their red blood cells have neither the A nor the B carb

I don't know why this question is so confusing to me but can someone help please

A woman who hass blood type A, has a daughter who is tuype O postive and a son who is type b negative. Rh positive is a simple dominant trait over Rh negative
Which of the following is a possible genotype for the son
IBi IBIA IAIA IBIB ii
Which of the following is a possible genotype for the mother
IBIB IAIB ii IAi IAIA

The A, B, AB, O are phenotypes - the visible trait. What you were given in the response were genotypes, the alleles present. You need those to make sense of your question.
