x-linke allele

A man who carries a X- linked allele would pass it on to who?

I cannot figure this out

Any offspring that inherit his X-chromosome.

Now it's your turn. Does this mean that the man's sons or the man's daughters inherit the X-linked allele? (Think about where the Xs and Ys have to come from for any offspring.)

I guess the girls because they get the xx but the boys get xy so won't they get it to?

Not quite. You're ignoring where the chromosomes come from. I'm assuming that the mother is not a carrier--if she is, that will change the outcome. The father's gametes will be either X' (affected chromosome) or y. The mother's gametes will all be X (unaffected chromosome). If you cross an X'y male with an XX female, who among the offspring gets the affected chromosome? A Punnet square might be helpful if you can't see it from the description.

Correct, the mom can ONLY give X. The dads can give X or Y. If the dad gives an X, then he has just just passed the x-linked allele...(to the girl)

A man who carries x-linked allele and this allele will pas through man to his daughter because daughter recieves one x chromosome from father and one x chromosome from mother.
