protein synthesis

Post by mrpeepers » Sun Apr 29, 2007 1:16 am

Hi all, this is a question that was on my last biology test and I left it blank becuase I couldn't find the answer, and still can't seem to find it. I'll get the test back on Tuesday, but it's been driving me nuts ever since (even wrote it down before turning in the test) Here goes:

Of the following events of protein syhtnesis, which of these would be the last step to occur?
A) the third mRNA cocon "calls in" a third tRNA molecule
B) the fourth codon of mRNA is formed by transcription of DNA
C) the peptide bond between the second and third amino acids forms
D) the second mRNA codon moves into the P site of the ribosome
E) the third amino acid is delivered to the ribosome
