Post by bolshoibooze » Sun Apr 22, 2007 9:34 am

hi..i'm doing a project at school and i'm wondering if anyone could tell me whether the relationship between diffusion rate and surface area/volume ratio is linear or non-linear? :)

Setup an equation for each term, and simplify by cross cancelling.

diffusion rate = permeability queficient(for the given solute) * surface area * concentration difference
