Quantity of ethidium bromide

hello
what it is the quantity (in µl) of ethidium bromide to add in a electrophoresis gel for have DNA bands quite visible with UV (Ultrat violet)?

I think I add about.... 6microliters of EtBR to each 100mL of agarose soln. (I add it when the agarose soln. is 'cool' enough to pour)

.. however, i do not know the concentration of the EtBR off hand.... but I find that a little goes a long way.

About 0.5 ug/ml final concentration in your gel should be OK.
