allele frequency

Post by zatom » Tue Mar 20, 2007 11:28 pm

If a plant has a gene with 2 alleles one that makes it resistant to a disease (A) and on that makes it susceotible to a disease (a) and the allelic frequency of A in a population is 0.25 then does that make the frequency of the susceptible homozygote 0.75?

Also if A is dominant how can the propotion of the resistant population be calculated? thanks in advance.

You might want to check dominance...
