Can anyone tell me what type of inhibitor cyanide is? That is, is it competative or non competeative? Any other info on this subject you can offer would be most helpful!

does anyone know if in an in vitro assay using cyanide to block aerobic respiration will kill the cells or if the cells can rely on glycolysis for this?

The cell won't live long. Using only glycolysis is not enough for required energy.
