Vi-Cell to count cells rapidly and its reagents!!

Guys,
I have a problem in laboratory. We bought a Vi-cell 'cell' counter. As it is a kind of expensive device, its reagents are high-costly. We do not want to waste all the money just to count cells by purchasing that reagent pack that includes 4 different chemicals. Anyone has ever tried to find a way to prepare reagents of Vi-cell?? Because we want to prepare in our laboratory and re-use it but of course we are going to test it first by comparing 2 results.
