Circulation is the key. Blood is moving around the body and is not stagnant. Lymph is also circulating, as it is done passively and not actively like the blood. Thus you get more lymph movement, and thus your immune system is everywhere and there faster.

okay in a simpler language.
when i get cold i have observed that it tends to reduce when i play soccer.
i do not why this happen.
is it phsychological?
my grandmother says the heat in the body increases and counteracts the cold. which i do not seem to approve
is it that the circulation increases increasing immunity.
that was all i wrote.
kolean's answer seems to satisfy
but anything else?

Your body can't FIGHT or counteract the cold as it fights an infection (unless you are actually talking about the actual COLD a.k.a. rhinovirus, among others), so even if it is true that exercise increases immunity, it doesn't have anything to do with it! You feel hotter when you exercise because you move, which causes heat, and because you use your muscles, which causes movement, which causes heat, and because your blood flows more quickly (your heart rate and blood flow increases) which also causes movement, which also causes heat. Your grandmother is right. It's not rocket science!
