Extensibility of collagen

Hello everyone,

I hope I'm in the right forum. I wonder if any of you can tell me of a molecule/product that could, in vivo, enhance the extensibility and the plastic deformation capacities of collagen fibers.

I know that infrared radiation has this property, although this effect is light.

For example, I'm wondering what would a collagenase liquid do to a connective tissue that would be stretched?

Well, colagenase would degrade the collagen.
Leguminase plants are, what are you looking for ;)

Well, further info:
lathyrogens (sorry, I'm not sure, whether this is correct english name) are causing lathyrismus, their typical source are peas (Lathyrus; http://www.biolib.cz/cz/taxon/id39975/ ;) ). These are amines, which are able to inhibit enzymes like amino oxidase or also lysyl oxidase. The second catalyse oxidation of lysines to allysine, which forms bridges in collagen afterwards.
It is believed, that also Niccolò Paganini did have lathyrismus, and thus had long and flexible fingers ;)

Thank you for your help, I was sure that nature had already produced a molecule with this kind of effect. Although it seems dangerous if ingested in the whole body. Not something you'd take to just be more flexible...

But I'm wondering, what effects does it have if applied on a specific part? Does it affect just the collagenous tissus (hope this is english enough :D) or does it affect others things?

Or maybe he had Marfan syndrome.I was teasing my friend that she has it because of long limbs(my sick sense of humor)
