how big can a cell be?? i really wanna know this. it's in my course but i have no clue about it. can someone around here please help me??

Cells are usually small, mainly because an increase in size leads to an overall increase in the volume/surface ratio.

Guess it depends on what type(s) of cells you're talking about (eg. plant cells, animal cells).

The biggest bacteria is named Thiomargarita nambiensis. It was discovered in 1997. It is about 0.75 mm in size, and it is visible with the naked eye
