KMAS, a light went off above my head
. Of course, Grandma had the cure. SO I just took my bloated stomach over to the cabinet, pulled out the white vinigar, put 4 table spoons in a cup of water, drank (choked) it down and I'm already starting to feel better. Over the past few weeks this hasn't been happening as much and I think its because I've been popping 2 magnesium supplements every other day and sometimes every day. They are making me very regular with very healthy you know whats
. (I too eat very healthy and stay very fit.) For foods that make me gassy
, I'm taking beano. I don't take it all the time, just when I need it. I need to think portion control. That would help. Eating smaller meals and more meals. .. Magnesium is difficult to OD on so don't worry. ... Bon Appitite!

I have just done month on a candida free diet - I felt great after a couple of days, my stomach was quite flat - hardly any bloating and as a bonus I lost 7lbs too. The constipation was much better too - I went to the loo probably every 2-3 days. It is recommended to do the diet for 1-4 months to rid your body of excess yeast i obviously did nt do it long enough as within 2 days of stopping the diet I am once again constipated and bloated .[/url]

Hello,I am thrilled to find this site. Last week I woke with my stomach bloated very bloated. My heath for last 10 years has been a downhill slide. I am unable to handle stress, get angry and I have a temp spike, flu like chills ,fever, headache etc. When the stomach bloating started i had been given very stressful news. Has anyone associated this with stress? I have not gone to Dr.,I am out of town for summer and have Dr.appointments when I go home.
Have you guys checked your blood?

Here is another chronically fatigued, bloated and gasy 27-year-oldgirl, who eats nutritious food (bran cereal with fa free milk in the morning, yoghurt or fruit for snack, dried fruit, nuts, fish and lean meats with veggies and whole grains for dinner, etc.) exercises 4-5 times a week and is otherwise pretty healthy.
I read all of your posts and have similar symptoms, my belly has always been bigger than normal and I have farted for as long as I can remember myself. 15 pounds overweight is pretty much a norm for me and I have given up on getting rid of it, which I sometimes can with rigorous several hours a day exercise for a month or so. Since I work and go to school such regimen is really not possible. I drink plenty of fluids (3 quarts of water) a day and only one cup of coffe, if that. Lately my heartburn has been too severe to endure the acidity of coffee. I was lactose intolerant for a short period of time but developed the necessary bacteria to digest lactose by drinking small amounts of milk and gradually increase to a normal dairy intake.
Anyway, I did some research on this and came to a conclusion that perhaps Anemia - a blood disorder could be blamed for the symptoms. The fact that some of you guys experience your most severe symptoms around menstruation is really a pointer (also, most of us here are gals), because the menstruation presents a significant blood loss and iron loss. Also some of you gals started to experience the symptoms after pregnancy and a pregnancy can be a trigger for Anemia.
I will try to schedule an appointment to see my doctor after September 5, when I am back in town, to check my red blood cell count, but meanwhile I will take a B vitamin supplement and will go and buy an iron supplement today to see if it helps. Some foods like dairy prevent iron absorption, I wonder, if I became lactose intolerant, my body was telling me something:)
Good luck to you all and let's keep each other posted!
Please read about Anemia on-line, I wasn't able to post a link as a first time blogger here. Sorry!

I too have had weight gain and stomach bloating, like you are pregant. I have recently had surgery to repair one kidney that wasn't working correctly and the 30 lbs. I had gained over the past years is gone. I had so much water retention and they told me that I had IBS, that has gone since I have the surgery.

I'm new to this site, male 47 years old. I've been told I have IBS (hasn't everybody?) but my symptoms are abdominal distention and weight gain that despite (like many of you it seems) exercise and good diet just won't go. Prior to getting this I could always control my weight.

I have had the same problem for over a year now. I did find out I have fibriods. My doctor at Hopkins said it is not unsual to look pregant with them. I also that found that when I was on the zone at home diet the bloating went way down and I lost weight easily. So I am wondering if I have some kind of food alllery perhaps as well. I would love to stay on the diet as a life choice which they also offer but I can't afford it. Also does anyone know where to get clothes? I look normal in weight other then my stomach which can expand to 41 inches. I go out and try on clothes and just cry.
Can't stand it!

I've just read through all the posts, dating back to last year, and I feel your pain. I have been dealing with this now for 2 years. I'm 33 years old, exercise regularly (4-5 times a week), lots of cardio and some weights. I have always been an athlete. I don't stick to a strict diet but try to eat under 1500 calories a day. Have gained 30 pounds in the last 2+ years. I am very frustrated. Last Dec. my gyn found fibroids- 8 total, 2 were as big as grapefruits. I thought, at last! Problem solved. Not so much. My stomach has gone back to being bloated all day, every day. Anything I eat or drink makes me look 6 mos. pregnant.
I'm finally going to go back to my doctor for help b/c I know this is not normal. Thanks for all the feedback. It's very frustrating when your doctor can't help, or doesn't want to help. If I find anything, I'll let you know.
This is so irritating ...

I guess I have kind of the same problem as some of you. I wake up in the morning and my stomach is as flat as a board. I work out a lot and I'm really tiny to begin with, but the minute I eat or drink ANYTHING ... I'm bloated! I can eat a grape and my stomach puffs out. It's so frustrating. Then, after dinner, when I try to get ready to go out it's HORRIBLE!!! I look about 3 months pregnant!! I think I eat pretty healthy, but even on days when I eat completely healthy, I'm just as bloated. I thought for a while that getting good stomach muscles would help ... so I've been working out for a while now and I've definitely improved my stomach muscles, but haven't helped my bloating issue at all!! It really sucks too because I work out so hard only to look pregnant and feel fat all day long from the minute I eat until I go to bed. I don't think gas or constipation is the problem because I don't really have any issues in that department. I mean I know they say you should go twice a day ... and I rarely do that, but I like to think I'm pretty much regular. I have been on the pill for 4 years now and I don't really remembering having this problem when I started taking it. I'm not so sure it has anything to do with it because I haven't really had any side effects from the pill. I'm just looking for any suggstions or anything to fix this problem. It really sucks when i pride myself on working out and looking good ... and then I end up looking pregnant!!
