Electropherogram of a mixed DNA profile

Post by Tam26 » Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:38 pm

Hi,

I have attached an image of an electropherogram of a mixed DNA profile. I am trying to interpret the electrophergoram but I have a few questions.

What features of the profile would lead to the conclusion that it is a mixed profile? I believe it is a 2 person mixture, but I'm not sure if both contributors are male?

Also, in regards to the 50% rule, how would I use this to determine the potential genotypes of the contributors in this profile? and what peaks resemble stutter peaks?

Thanks in advance :D
