So I basically got a assignment to write a science article (around 700 words) like the ones on 'New scientist' etc. About anything to do with DNA Identification like modern day, historical, forensic or medical but I'm struggling to find an interesting topic to write about. Would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas, thanks.
One suggestion is the role of DNA mutations in cancer immunotherapy. Cancer immunotherapy is a revolution in cancer treatment which saves many lifes in several cancers resisting classical treatments among them melanoma and lung cancer. Statistically the more mutations in DNA of cancer cells, the more probable that immunotherapy (checkpoint inhibitors) works. This is called the DNA mutational burden.
