Interesting Aeroponic Product Design Project
Hello everyone,
I am an industrial design undergrad working on a project to improve indoor agriculture.
I really need some technical advice please.
I want to create a user-friendly aeroponic pod/vase for growing crops on a modular scale.
I'm using a Voronoi diagram-based structure for the pod/vase.
The purpose of the structure is to restrict root growth and improve air circulation.
I'm uploading a basic render of the structure.
The problem is the germination process. The concept is to create a dissolvable nutrient-rich "package" that will also include seeds to kickstart the germination process without using polymer fibers or a substrate. The idea is that once the seedlings start to grow roots, the nutrient-rich "package" dissolves.
I would like to know if this is possible. Your knowledge on this subject would help me tremendously.
Thank you
Ryan
