reduced NAD oxidided under anaerobic conditions

under anaerobic conditions, the reduced NAD can not be oxidised using oxygen. :( however, with out it being oxidised glycolsis will stop and no ATP will be formed. could you explain to me how the reduced NAD is oxidised under anaerobic conditions in the mammalian muscle tissue and in yeast?

this one has stumped my, does any one know the answer?

Anaerobic respiraiton produces lactic acid or ethanol as product. Pyruvic acid turns to lactic acid or ethanol+CO2, so you get NAD+.

I mean:

Glycolysis: Glucose(C6H12O6)+ 2NAD+ ----> Pyruvate(C3H4O3) + 2NADH

Further reaction for anaerobic conditions (in other words, lactic acid or ethanol formation):

Pyruvate+2 NADH---->Lactic acid(C3H6O3)+ 2NAD+

For yeast:

Pyruvate---> Acetaldehyde (CH3CHO) +CO2
Acetaldehyde+ 2NADH----> ethanol (C2H5OH)+ 2NAD+
