hmm.. at first is your question about DNA transcription or DNA replication ('cos i think in DNA replication mRNA is not involved, the DNA polymerase binds to RNA primase etc.).. it's a complicated stuff.. maybe this links will help you

its because during the reaction H becomes a positively charged kation (H+), so it means that H must have lost some an electron. And because, there are 2 hydrogen atoms, each losing an electron => 2 e- are produced... ;)
