Re: Is an effective vaccine against TB is possible?

Thank you very much for Mr. Frattoe for providing valuable information. The Mycobacterium tuberculosis is an intracellular pathogen and it forms granulomas. So it evades our immune system during dormant state. Antibody titer decreases after few weeks or months after infection. Immunological memory a...

Is an effective vaccine against TB is possible?

According to various reports BCG vaccine used for TB is not fully effective. Latent-dormant TB confers only some protection against reinfection, in which person’s immune system exposed to the full set of antigens of the pathogenic strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis , but will not offer full protec...

I think we can do ultrasonography in aquatic animals.Aquatic animals might live without water for few minutes and we can do ultrasonogrphy then. Otherwise we can modify ultrasonography equipment to be water proof and can be used in the water.Or we can do a detailed ultrasonography analysis after the...

I think there is no correlation between brain size and IQ level. If compare brains of whale and elephant with humans, ours is too small. But we have very high intelligence. I think some connections between neurons or some unknown factors determine intelligence.

There is some modification in above topic. Somebody would say egg formed first because without egg how chicken formed. Some other would say the opposite with same reasoning. If somebody has an egg, it formed from a chicken, later formed from egg. If we follow egg-chicken story in chronological order...

I think you can use a hemocytometer to count the total bacteria present in the water. But it is
difficult to count the motile bacteria in hemocytometer. I suggest to use a disinfectant to kill the bacteria before counting.I think you can also use a stain for seeing the bacteria in the microscope.

I think you can use a test, where semi-solid agar taken in test tube, which will a gradation of oxygen concentration. Surface have normal oxygen concentration and when we go downwards its concentration gradualy decreases. At near bottom there is no oxygen at all. If we add suitable nutrients in the ...
