Hmm I am not sure....but your best bet is to just look of the differences of these different cell types (algae, fungi) and see if there are any stains that stain for these particular molecules.

Yea....Mistery brings a good point. The act of the water evaporating is not active but in order for transpiration to occur, stomata must be open and for stomata to be open ATP is required.

Yea, pulse field is indeed your friend of big samples, if you do this you should be able to differentiate a circular from a linear DNA sample.

Or set up a density gradient centrifugation.

I can't think of any more really.

What were your qualitative analysis of the roots in HCL vs NaOH?

Ethanol will dissolve chlorophyll and obviously other parts of the plant. Ethanol is a good solvent.

HCl and NaOH are a strong acid and a strong base....define an acid and a base and then think about it.

Gametes are sex cells.

Germ cells are the precursors to Gametes.

Germ cells are diploid (they have two pairs of chromosomes) and undergo meiosis to produce gametes (which are haploid, one pair).
