If you really want to know the identity of that organism you should really go to the lab and do series of tests if its deadly or not.

maybe some kind of mold, be sure to clean your pot and dont have any food debri left on it.Soak it in warm water with detergent, and scrub, you can use chlorine also. ;)

sampling bottles

since i have no drying oven to dry my moist water sampling bottles after autoclaving, do you think the trapped moist inside the bottle will affect the results for total plate count test? what is the standard for water sampling bottles? should it be really dry or it doesnt matter if its dry or wet? c...
